Nintex RPA Chrome Extension is disabled in your browser

If you get error message, "Nintex RPA Chrome Extension is disabled in your browser" when using the Nintex RPA Chrome Extension for Google Chrome, do the following to troubleshoot:

  • In a Google Chrome browser, go to Manage Extensions and verify that Nintex RPA Chrome Extension for Google Chrome is installed and enabled.
  • In Task Manager, verify that NintexRPAChromiumChannel.exe is running. If NintexRPAChromiumChannel.exe is not running, a registry key may be missing. Complete the following steps:
    1. Open the Registry Editor on your machine.
    2. Navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Chrome\NativeMessagingHosts\.
    3. Right-click on the NativeMessagingHost folder and select New > Key.
    4. Set the (Default) value to C:\Program Files (x86)\Nintex\RPA\NintexRPAChromiumChannel_Manifest.json.

Note: If you installed Nintex RPA in a different folder, adjust the path above in step 4 to reflect where you installed Nintex RPA.
