See Enable Process Modeling.

Canvas

Use the modeling canvas pane to drag and drop events and connect them to create your process model. Events are sections of the process that describe an action or an event taking place during the process. An event could be the start of a process, the end of a process, a choice during a process, or a task within the process.

See the Element Guide for more information on the different elements used to create a process model. You can also import a process model.

In the top left corner of the canvas there is a toggle that allows you to enter edit mode. When in edit mode you has access to the canvas and can edit and make changes to the process model. If you do not have sufficient permissions to edit a process model, but you have access permissions, then the read/ edit toggle shows as "off". You can view the process model but you can't make any changes.
