SCIM access token

You require a SCIM access token A unique token issued for your Nintex Promapp site used to authenticate and check validity for user provisioning actions. to authenticate SCIM The System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) specification is designed to make managing user identities in cloud-based applications and services easier. provisioning requests in your Nintex Process Manager site. The SCIM access token must be generated by the Promaster A Nintex Promapp system administrator who administers a Nintex Promapp site and has rights to view and edit all areas of a Nintex Promapp site. in Nintex Process Manager.

Note: 
  • The SCIM access token is generated only for your Nintex Process Manager site and is not a personal access token.
  • The SCIM access token can only be generated by the Promaster.
  • Each Promaster for an organisation can generate only one SCIM access token.
  • Promasters can view and revoke any SCIM access token generated for their organisation.
  • Promaster must store and distribute the SCIM access token securely.

Create a SCIM access token

Follow these steps to generate the SCIM access token.

  1. In Nintex Process Manager, click the profile name drop-down list and then click My Profile.

  2. In the Access Tokens section, click Create Token.

  3. Type a value in the Description field.

  4. Select SCIM from the Scope drop-down list.

  5. Click save. The SCIM access token is created and displayed on the page.

  6. Caution:  The SCIM access token will only be displayed when you create the token. Once you close the dialog, you will not be able to view the SCIM access token.

  1. Click copy to copy the SCIM access token. Ensure that you copy the SCIM access token value and not the name.

  2. Caution: Ensure that you securely distribute the SCIM access token. The SCIM access token is valid for a period of one year and you must generate a new SCIM access token if you want to continue using the provisioning service.

Revoke a SCIM access token

If you want to create a new SCIM access token, you must first revoke the existing SCIM access token.

Caution: Once revoked, the SCIM access token becomes unavailable and any API calls made using that SCIM access token will fail.

  1. In Nintex Process Manager, click the profile name drop-down list and then click My Profile.
  2. In the Access Tokens section, the list of SCIM access tokens for your organisation are displayed.
  3. Locate the SCIM access token you want to revoke and click delete.
