Alerts

An administrator role is required. For information, see User roles.

The instance alerts page lists alert notification settings. You can select who gets notified when workflow instances pause or fail.

Note:
  • Alerts are only sent for published production workflows. No alerts are sent for development workflows.

  • Alerts are sent as emails to the email address associated with the Nintex Workflow user.

  • Alerts can be sent to up to 300 unique email addresses. If the alert targets more than 300 recipients, only the first 300 will receive it.

  • The maximum number of alerts sent per hour for a workflow is 12. This includes all instance failure alerts and error handing related errors. This hourly maximum for alerts per user reduces the risk of too many emails in the case of an unhealthy or badly formatted workflow. The hourly maximum, which resets every hour, on the hour, corresponds to the five-minute polling interval used in most cases.

  • Alert emails are sent in English, Spanish, French, German, or Japanese. Nintex Workflow uses the locale selected in regional settings to determine the language for the email. If no locale is selected or if it is not French, German, Spanish, or Japanese, the email language will default to English.

  • Nintex Workflow uses the timezone selected in regional settings for the email. If no timezone is selected, the email timezone will default to UTC.
