Nintex - Scheduled start
Use the start event An event that triggers a workflow to run when it occurs. An example is Box - New file, which triggers the workflow to run when a new file is uploaded to the specified folder. Nintex - Scheduled start to run your workflow at a specific time. You can specify the timezone and set the workflow to run on a regular basis. You can schedule to start an instance of a workflow at a particular date and time and even set a frequency for recurrence.

Configure a recurring start event
You can configure the start event to repeat and run automatically on a recurring basis.
- At the top of the designer canvas on the Designer page, click Start event.
The Start event configuration panel opens.
- In the Start from drop-down list, select Nintex Scheduled start.
Additional fields appear.
- Select a Timezone.
- Select a Start date and time.
- In the Recurrence field, select Repeat.
- Select the Frequency of the repeating event:
- Click Repeat to configure the start event to repeat at specific date and time intervals.
- Click Run on days to configure the start event to repeat on specific days of the week.
- If you selected Repeat in the Frequency field, configure the following fields:
- In the Repeat every field, record how often the workflow should run and select Hour(s), Day(s), Week(s), Month(s), or Year(s).
- In the End schedule drop-down list, select one of the following options:
- Time. Select a date and time when the schedule should end.
- Number of recurrences. Type the Number of runs the workflow should run.
- Indefinite. The workflow schedule will not end. This is the default option.
- If you selected Run on days in the Frequency field:
- Select the Days of the week when the workflow should run.
- In the End schedule drop-down list, select one of the following options:
- Time. Select a date and time when the schedule should end.
- Number of recurrences. Type the Number of runs the workflow should run.
- Indefinite. The workflow schedule will not end. This is the default option.
Note: All date/time values are based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) time. The scheduled time will not automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time. The workflow will always run based on UTC. Nintex recommends updating the time twice a year, as required, to account for Daylight Saving Time.
Configure the start event to run once
- At the top of the designer canvas on the Designer page, click Start event.
The Start event configuration panel opens.
- In the Start from drop-down list, select Nintex Scheduled start.
- Select a Timezone.
- Select a Start date and time.
- To configure the start event to run only once at the specified date and time, in the Recurrence field, select Run once.
Note: All date/time values are based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) time. The scheduled time will not automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time. The workflow will always run based on UTC. Nintex recommends updating the time twice a year, as required, to account for Daylight Saving Time.

Only available when Run on days is selected for Frequency. If you select to repeat the workflow on specific days of the week, select the days of the week when the workflow should run. |
End schedule |
Select to end the repeating workflow on a specific date and time, after a specific number of recurrences, or indefinitely. |
