Kanbanize

Kanbanize is a tool for project and portfolio managers that uses Kanban-style features for Agile project management. It enables you to visualize and track progress of projects. With Kanbanize you visualize the project plan in dedicated Management Boards and break down the work across one or more Team Boards. This creates a work hierarchy that spans multiple levels in the organization and creates unmatched transparency across the whole value stream. As teams complete work on their team boards, the progress, and potential risks, are visualized on your management boards automatically. In the context of Nintex Automation Cloud, Kanbanize is a connector Service used to define a connection required for associated actions and start events. Examples include Salesforce and Box. You can use Kanbanize actions to manage your projects, for example, you can move a task to a higher position in a column to indicate it has a higher priority.

Use the task actions in a workflow to create a new task, get task information or move a task. Use the Get board settings action to retrieve a list of board settings. Use the Get columns and lanes action to retrieve a list of information for each column and lane in a board. Use the Get projects action to retrieve a list of projects and associated boards.

Create a Kanbanize connection

Create a connection from the connections page or from the action configuration panel when configuring the action. For information about creating connections and assigning permissions, see Manage connections.

Fill the following fields when creating a Kanbanize connection:

Connection name A name for your new connection.
API Key Your API key. Get your API key from the API tab of your My Account page in Kanbanize.
Subdomain Your company name as in the URL to your Kanbanize dashboard. For example, 'nintex4u' if the URL is https://nintex4u.kanbanize.com/

Kanbanize account requirements

  • The account you use to create a connection for Kanbanize is the account that has access to the Kanbanize actions.
  • When you create your Kanbanize account a subdomain is assigned to your account. You need this subdomain and your API key to create the connector.
  • Get your API key from the API tab of your My Account page in Kanbanize.
