K2 SmartObject
The K2 SmartObject connector Service used to define a connection required for associated actions and start events. Examples include Salesforce and Box. Method of integration to cloud services, business applications and content stores. is used to create connections for the K2 SmartObject action. Use the K2 SmartObject action A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. to execute a SmartObject method to query or update information in a line of business (LOB) system. The action is based on the user whose details are provided in the K2 SmartObject connection. Create a K2 SmartObject connection
You can create connections from the Automate or Designer page.
- This connector uses the K2 SmartObject API with Basic authentication.
- The user credentials used to create the K2 SmartObject connection determines the permissions that the user has to the K2 SmartObject action.
- On the top navigation bar, click Automate, and then select Connections from the left navigation.
- On the Connections page, click Add new.

Connection name A name for your new connection Username The username of the user in the K2 Cloud tenant. These user credentials are used to retrieve K2 SmartObject data. Password The password of the user in the K2 Cloud tenant. These user credentials are used to retrieve K2 SmartObject data. K2 Host URL The K2 Cloud tenant to use for retrieving K2 SmartObject data. Example: KUID.onk2.com - Click Connect.

Follow the prompts to enter credentials and grant access to Nintex Automation Cloud.
- In the permissions dialog, you can do one of the following:
- Edit the Owners or Users permissions according to data source usage requirements and click Save permissions.
Tip: You can assign connection owners or users permissions according to your access requirements. For more information, see Assign permissions.
(Or)
- Click Done.
The new connection is listed in the Connections page.

Access the Designer page
- On the top navigation bar, click Automate > Workflows, and then select the required workflow.

- On the top navigation bar, click Automate > Create workflow.
- Click the action you want to add the connection to.

In the drop-down list for Connection, select Add new connection.

In the Connection window, fill in the field as follows.

Assign permissions
Permissions enable you to manage access for other users to use, edit, and delete connections.
Note: By default, users with administrator role will have the same rights as a Connection owner.

Follow these steps to assign permissions from the Connections page:
- On the Connections page, click for the required connection.
- From the menu, select Permissions.
- To assign permissions:
- In the Owners field, type the name of the user, and select from the list.
- In the Users field, type the name of the user, and select from the list.
- Click Save permissions.
