Create a FreshBooks connection

Note: Your browser-stored credentials are accessed to create connections. Either clear credentials from browser memory or make sure the stored credentials are for the intended environment.

Create a connection from the connections page or from the action configuration panel when configuring the action. For information about creating connections and assigning permissions, see Manage connections.

Complete the following fields when creating the connection:

Client ID The client ID. You can find this on your Developer Portal page.
Client secret The client secret. You can find this on your Developer Portal page.

FreshBooks account requirements

  • The account you use to create a connection for FreshBooks is the account that has access to the FreshBooks actions.
  • You must create an app in FreshBooksDeveloper Portal, See Authenticating with OAuth 2.0 for the steps to create the app.

  • You need the app's client ID, and client secret. You can find them on your Developer Portal page.
