RSpace - Import a Word or OpenOffice document

Use the RSpace - Import a Word or OpenOffice document action A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. Actions are the steps the workflow performs to complete a process. to import a Microsoft Word, OpenOffice document, or plain text file to the RSpace account as a simple document.

Configure the RSpace - Import a Word or OpenOffice document action

  1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add an action to the workflow.

  1. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.
  1. Select a Folder.
  2. Insert the variable containing the File.
  3. Create or select a variable for the output.

Note: Your tenancy's default file storage location must be configured to hold files for later reference by the workflow. This location is used for uploaded files and for files stored as output from actions.

Output Document

Stores the result of the action as an object. The following values are returned:

  • ID: (Text) The unique identifier of the document.
  • Global ID; (Text) A unique identifier amongst all RSpace data types.
  • Name: (Text) The document name.
  • Created: (Text) The creation time of the file (the time it was first uploaded to RSpace), in ISO-8601 format.
  • Last modified: (Text) The time the document was modified, in ISO-8601 format.
  • Parent folder ID (Integer) The unique identifier of the folder this document is stored in.
  • Type: (Text) The media type of the file.
  • Links: (Collection) List of metadata links:
  • Owner: (Object) Representation of a user.
    • ID: (Integer) The unique identifier of the user.
    • Username: (Text) The username of the user.
    • Email: (Text) The email address of the user.
    • First name: (Text) The first name of the user.
    • Last Name: (Text) The last name of the user.
    • Home folder ID: (Text) The unique identifier of the home folder. May be empty if account has not yet been initialized.
