Use the Google Drive - Move a file action A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. Actions are the steps the workflow performs to complete a process. to move a file from one folder to another in Google Drive.

Configure the Google Drive - Move a file action

Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add an action to the workflow.

Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.
- Select the source Drive you want to move the file from.
- Select a source type. The option presented is dependent on the source type selected:
- The File path of the file you want to move. You can also browse the file structure using the browse icon (
).
- The File ID of the file you want to move.

- Select the destination Drive you want to move the file to.
- Select a destination type. The option presented is dependent on the destination type selected:
- The Folder path to where you want to move the file. You can also browse the folder structure using the browse icon (

- The Folder ID of the folder to where you want to move the file.
- The Folder path to where you want to move the file. You can also browse the folder structure using the browse icon (
- Select whether or not to overwrite an existing file.
- Select or create a variable for the Result output.
