The Box - Move a folder action A tool for building the processes, logic, and direction within workflows. Actions are the steps the workflow performs to complete a process. moves a folder to from one location to another in Box.

Configure the Box - Move a folder action

1. Add the action to the workflow and open the action configuration panel. For more information, see Add an action to the workflow.

2. Select a Connection. If you do not have a connection, see Add a connection.
3. In Select a source type, select Path or File ID.
4. Specify the File path or File ID based on what you selected in Select a source type:

   • File path: The path to the folder you want to move. You can also browse the folder structure using the browse icon ().

   • Folder ID: The unique identifier folder ID number.

5. Under Destination, in New folder path, type the file path where you want to move the folder. You can also browse the folder structure using the browse icon ().

Maintain path integrity

Caution: If a file/folder that's used in a workflow is moved, renamed, or deleted, any workflows that use that file/folder will not start or will fail. Make sure you keep the paths in your workflow configurations up to date.

Destination	Destination path	The location in Box where the workflow moves the folder to. Accepts any combination of typed text, text added through navigation (), and inserted variables. Note: The action moves the folder inside the path you specify. If some the folders in the Destination path do not exist, then the action creates folders to match the Destination path.
