StrikeIron email verification

Calls a web service to determine whether or not a given email address is valid.

Note: This action requires a StrikeIron account. To register for a trial, go to the StrikeIron website at www.strikeiron.com/get-started.

Action settings

Following are the fields and options visible in the configuration settings dialog box for this action.

Field Description
StrikeIron username

The StrikeIron username that has been registered to use this service.

StrikeIron password

The password for the above username.

Email address to verify

The email address to be verified.

Output

Store output for this action using the following selections.

  • Result of the email verification: Specify a workflow variable to store whether or not the email address provided is valid or not.
  • Recommended retry verification: Specify a Yes/No variable to store whether or not the verification process should be retried.

Depending on action requirements, you may be able to add and remove output variables.

To add an output variable

  1. Select an option from the Select more drop-down list.
  2. Click Add to display a drop-down list for the selected option.
  3. Select a previously defined workflow variable from the drop-down list.

To remove an output variable

  • Click Delete ().

    Note: Some output variables cannot be deleted. For example, the output variable URL for the action Bing news search cannot be deleted.
