Rackspace create server

Nintex external platform is required for this feature. For details, see Enable Nintex external platform features.

Creates a Rackspace next generation cloud server. First generation cloud servers are not supported.

Action settings

Following are the fields and options visible in the configuration settings dialog box for this action.

Section Field Description

 Server name

Specify a name for the server.

 

 Region

Specify which region to create the server in. Selected region must be compatible with the region the Rackspace account was created in.

 

 Image name

Specify the name of the image to use.

 

 Server size

Specify the amount of RAM and disk space the server will have.

Access credentials

Username

Specify the username for the Rackspace account.

 

 API Key

Specify the API Key associated with the username.

Output

Store output for this action using the following selections.

  • Server ID: Specify a workflow variable to store the ID of the server.
  • IP address: Specify a workflow variable to store the IP address of the server.
  • Password: Specify a workflow variable to store the default administrator password for the server.

Depending on action requirements, you may be able to add and remove output variables.

To add an output variable

  1. Select an option from the Select more drop-down list.
  2. Click Add to display a drop-down list for the selected option.
  3. Select a previously defined workflow variable from the drop-down list.

To remove an output variable

  • Click Delete ().

    Note: Some output variables cannot be deleted. For example, the output variable URL for the action Bing news search cannot be deleted.
