Checks out items from a document library in SharePoint Online.

Action settings

Following are the fields and options visible in the configuration settings dialog box for this action.

Section Field Description

Destination site URL

The URL of the site where the items to be checked out are located.

 

Document library

The name of the document library where the items to be checked out are located.

 

Items to check out

Specify a query to determine which items are to be checked out, specify whether or not to check out items within subfolders, and add filters to the query.

Select one of the following items for the query.

  • Query builder: Build a query to filter for items to check out. View the CAML at any time by switching to the CAML Editor mode.
  • CAML editor: Create a more advanced query using XML encoding.

Select or clear the following check box.

  • Include subfolders: When selected, checks out items within subfolders.

Select one of the following for Filters.

  • Check out all list items: Checks out all items in the library.
  • Check out items only when the following is true: Checks out items based on column values.
    • Check in the items when column / When column: Specify a column, select an operator, and specify a value.

    • Add filter rule: Add a filter.
    • Delete (): Delete a filter. Displayed for second and subsequent filters.
    • And / Or: Specify how to group sequential filters.

      Note: All items returned from the filter are checked out.

Credentials

SharePoint Online URL

Specify the SharePoint Online website domain URL. Example: http://targetdomain.sharepoint.com.

 

Username

Specify a username with permissions to check out items in the document library.

 

Password

Specify the password for the above username.

Output

Store output for this action using the following selections.

  • All matched items checked out: Specify a Yes/No variable to store whether or not all matched items have been checked out. Returns "Yes" if all matched items were successfully checked out.
