Office 365 add user to security group

Nintex external platform is required for this feature. For details, see Enable Nintex external platform features.

Adds a user to a security group in an Office 365 domain.

Action settings

Following are the fields and options visible in the configuration settings dialog box for this action.

Section Field Description

(unlabeled)

 Username and domain

Specify the email address of the user to be added to the security group.

 

 Security group

Specify the name of the security group.

Credentials

Administrator username

Specify the email address of the user with permissions to add members to the security group in the destination site.

 

 Password

Specify the password for the above username.

(unlabeled)

 Output

Store output for this action using the following selections.

  • Add to group successful: Specify a Yes/No variable to store whether or not the user was added. Returns "No" if the user was not added.

Depending on action requirements, you may be able to add and remove output variables.

To add an output variable

  1. Select an option from the Select more drop-down list.
  2. Click Add to display a drop-down list for the selected option.
  3. Select a previously defined workflow variable from the drop-down list.

To remove an output variable

  • Click Delete ().

    Note: Some output variables cannot be deleted. For example, the output variable URL for the action Bing news search cannot be deleted.
