MailChimp delete campaign

Deletes a campaign from MailChimp.

Note: This action references the MailChimp user account indicated by the specified API key.

Action settings

Following are the fields and options visible in the configuration settings dialog box for this action.

Field Description
API Key

Specify the MailChimp API Key.

  1. Open your MailChimp account, and click on My Account > Account Settings.
  2. Select the Extras tab and click on API keys.
  3. Beneath the Your API keys heading, you may need to create a new key. Click on Create A Key, and an API Key will be generated.
Campaign ID

Specify the Campaign ID.

Example campaign ID: "c80aa827b4"

To locate the campaign ID, go to the Campaigns page in MailChimp and then select View Email from the drop-down list for the campaign. The URL indicates the campaign ID by the prefix string "id=".
Output

Store output for this action using the following selections.

  • Delete successful: Specify a Yes/No variable to store whether or not the campaign is deleted. Returns "Yes" if the campaign was successfully deleted.

Depending on action requirements, you may be able to add and remove output variables.

To add an output variable

  1. Select an option from the Select more drop-down list.
  2. Click Add to display a drop-down list for the selected option.
  3. Select a previously defined workflow variable from the drop-down list.

To remove an output variable

  • Click Delete ().

    Note: Some output variables cannot be deleted. For example, the output variable URL for the action Bing news search cannot be deleted.
