Specify an email address for the authorization request. External email addresses can be used.
Steps in the authorization process

On execution of the action, a message is sent to the email address specified for the authorizing user. The message contains the following details.
From: notification@nintexlive.com
Subject: Contains the phrases "Nintex" and "Request authorization"
Contents: Contains links to authorize or deny the operation
- When the authorizing user clicks the link to authorize the operation, the authorizing user is prompted to do the following.
- Log in to the external service
Allow Nintex to access the external service
Decide whether to waive future Nintex authorization requests for this external service
- When the prompted actions are completed, the action completes.
What happens if the operation is never authorized?
If the authorization process is not completed, then the workflow suspends. This situation can occur in the following scenarios.

The authorizing user explicitly denies the operation, either by clicking the deny link in the email message or not allowing Nintex access to the external service after logging in.
Error logged for suspended workflow:
“The service request has been denied.”

Seven days pass without completion of the authorization process. Either the authorizing user never clicks the authorize link in the email message or the authorizing user initiates the process but does not complete all steps. For example, the authorizing user logs in to the external service but does not allow Nintex to access the external service.
Error logged for suspended workflow:
“The service request has expired.”
Select one of the following items.
- Account only: Returns updates from the logged in user.
- All connections: Returns updates from LinkedIn connections.
Specify a UTC date and time to filter results.
If no value is provided, the most recent messages are returned.

Specify the type of update to retrieve.
- All: Return all update types
- Application updates: An update that occurred in a partner application.
- Changed pictures: Profile picture updates.
- Changed profiles: Profile updates.
- Company update: Updates on a company that the member is following.
- New connections: Updates for new connections made.
- Extended profile updates: A connection has updated their extended profile.
- Joined a group: A connection has joined a group.
- Job updates: A connection posted a job on LinkedIn.
- Recommendations: A recommendation was made.
- Shared items: A connection has shared an update or link.
Specify the maximum number of updates to retrieve.
Specify whether or not to retrieve updates from connections who have been hidden in LinkedIn.
Output
Store output for this action using the following selections.
- Result count: Specify a numeric variable to store the number of results retrieved.
- Update date: Specify a collection variable to store the time and date the update was made.
- Update type: Specify a collection variable to store the update type.
- Update: Specify a collection variable to store the update text.
- Update URL: Specify a collection variable to store the update's web URL.
How to add and remove output variables
Depending on action requirements, you may be able to add and remove output variables.
To add an output variable
- Select an option from the Select more drop-down list.
- Click Add to display a drop-down list for the selected option.
- Select a previously defined workflow variable from the drop-down list.
To remove an output variable

).Note: Some output variables cannot be deleted. For example, the output variable URL for the action Bing news search cannot be deleted.
