Enable Nintex external platform features
Note: Nintex Live is known as the Nintex external platform in Nintex for SharePoint 2016. The external platform includes the following external features: Connector actions (live actions), external forms (live forms), Document Generation, and External Start. The external platform is automatically installed and deployed on the Central Administration server; however, the external features are not enabled by default.
This section describes how to enable Nintex external platform features. If you are not installing features with this requirement, then you can skip this section.
Enabling Nintex external platform features involves configuration in SharePoint Central Administration.
The following features require the Nintex external platform.

Remote mobile access (Microsoft account sign-in for Nintex Mobile)
To enable external workflow features

Make sure the server can connect to the Nintex external platform.

On the Central Administration Home page, click Nintex Administration and then click External settings for Workflow under Licensing and setup.

Enable the prerequisite service and then enable each desired feature.
To enable external forms (including anonymous forms)

Make sure the server can connect to the Nintex external platform.

On the Central Administration Home page, click Nintex Administration and then click External forms settings under Forms environment.

Enable each desired feature.
- Confirm the ability to register SharePoint accounts with Nintex.
Note: The Nintex Forms feature must be activated on the SharePoint site for the registration option to appear.

Follow the instructions from Nintex registration in the Nintex Mobile help to register a SharePoint account.

(Optional.) Confirm that the registered user is listed on the server hosting SharePoint Central Administration: On the Central Administration Home page, click Nintex Administration and then click Nintex Mobile users under Forms environment.

On a mobile device, sign in to the Nintex Mobile app using the Microsoft account selected for registration.
