SharePoint create site

Creates a site within a SharePoint Online site collection.

Note: Not compatible with SharePoint 2007.

Action settings

Following are the fields and options visible in the configuration settings dialog box for this action.

Section	Field	Description
(unlabeled)	Title	Specify the title of the site.
	Description	Specify the description of the site.
	Inherit permissions	Specify whether to inherit permissions from the parent site. If not inhering permissions from the parent site, specify site owners (Site owner).
	Site owner	Specify the site owners when not inheriting permissions. Use semicolons to separate owners. Example: `domain\user1; domain\user2`
	Parent site URL	The URL of the parent site where the site will be created. Example: `https://crestan.com/Departments/`
	Site name	Specify the site name. For example, to create a marketing site, specify "Marketing" as the site name. The expected result for the site URL is `https://crestan.com/Departments/Marketing`.
	Language	Specify the language for the site. Note: Ensure that the language selected has been deployed in the target SharePoint environment.
	Template	Specify the site template to use.
	Custom template name	Specify the name of the custom template. Saved custom templates are visible in the solution gallery (Site Settings > Solutions). Note: Only applicable when template is selected as custom.
	Display on the Quick Launch of the parent site	Specify whether a link to this site appears in the Quick Launch of the parent site. This action is not supported if Office 365 authentication mode is selected.
	Display on the top link bar of the parent site	Specify whether a link to this site appears in the top link bar of the parent site. This action is not supported if Office 365 authentication mode is selected or the SharePoint parent site is inheriting top links.
	Use top link bar from the parent site	Specify whether this site will have its own top link bar or use the one from its parent.
Credentials	Authentication mode	The mode to authenticate against the destination site.
	Username	Specify a username with permissions to create the site.
	Password	Specify the password for the above username.
	Domain or SharePoint Online website domain	Specify the domain for the username if using Windows authentication mode, or specify the SharePoint Online domain URL if connecting to an Office 365 SharePoint Online site.
(unlabeled)	Output	Store output for this action using the following selections. Site creation successful: Specify a Yes/No variable to store whether or not the creation of the site was successful. Returns "Yes" if the site was successfully created. Site URL: Specify a workflow variable to store the URL of the new site. How to add and remove output variables Depending on action requirements, you may be able to add and remove output variables. To add an output variable Select an option from the Select more drop-down list. Click Add to display a drop-down list for the selected option. Select a previously defined workflow variable from the drop-down list. To remove an output variable Click Delete (). Note: Some output variables cannot be deleted. For example, the output variable URL for the action Bing news search cannot be deleted.
