Working with Citrix Applications
Now that you have configured Citrix to work with Nintex RPA on all ends, all is left to do is to:
Step 1: Define Citrix application on Nintex Admin
Step 2: Start creating, recording, and running automation as you would normally do
Define Citrix application on Nintex Admin
-
Go to Nintex Admin > Applications tab > Add New Application > fill-in the Citrix application properties
-
Click Identification Method
-
Set the Process name as the identification method and insert the exact process name of the Citrix application (Citrix Workspace)
For your reference, the complete instruction on defining apps are available on the Nintex User Guide.
You perform this process ONLY once to define the Citrix Workspace app in Nintex Admin
You don't need to set any identification method or definition of Citrix-published apps, only for the Citrix Workspace apps.
Start creating, recording, and running automations as you would normally do
Simply open the relevant app from Citrix Workspace and proceed as usual.
How would you know if the recorded app is a Citrix-published app?
(1) Changing the "Window data" values doesn't determine the application in use (Citrix-published app or local app)
If you have already performed the recording on a local application and now you want that recording to work on a Citrix published application (same application), you must re-record the wizard on the Citrix-based application as changing the values doesn't determine the application in use for Citrix.
