SharePoint Service Types

As a result of the differences between the APIs and services exposed by different versions of SharePoint, and because of how K2 integrates with SharePoint, your K2 environment may expose several Service Types that are used to integrate with Microsoft SharePoint. You can use the table below for a brief overview of the available Service Types, and click on the links to jump to more documentation about a particular Service Type.

SharePoint Provides integration with SharePoint and later as well as SharePoint Online to interact with SharePoint List, Libraries and Sites via the SharePoint CSOM (Client-Side Object Model) and REST APIs. Service Instances for these Brokers are normally generated by running the K2 Registration wizard after adding the K2 App to the SharePoint site
SharePoint Functions

This is an internal broker that K2 uses for integrating with SharePoint in order to read group information from SharePoint and to read and load List column or Document column values.

SharePoint Integration This is an internal Service Type that K2 uses for integrating with SharePoint and SharePoint Online to perform functions related to SharePoint Events, Form Submit Types, Helper Methods, Settings, Setting Events, Workflow and Workflow Events
