General Event Wizards

This content applies to legacy design tools (such as K2 Studio, K2 for Visual Studio, or the Silverlight-based K2 workflow design tool). If you have upgraded from K2 blackpearl 4.7 to K2 Five, these tools may still be available in your environment. These legacy tools may not be available in new installations of K2 Five. These legacy tools may also not be available, supported, or behave as described, in future updates or versions of K2. Please see the legacy component support policy for more information about support for these components.

The following wizards are available in the General category of the Event Wizards tab.

Wizard Name Function
Active Directory Event Adds workflow steps that perform tasks with users, groups, and group users stored in Active Directory
Code Reference Event Adds an event that calls some code (static, constructors and instance methods) in a server event.
CRM 4 Create, update, and delete items based on CRM4 entities.
Data Event Works with the K2 integration wizards where data retrieval, manipulation and transfer is needed.
Default Client Event Assigns tasks to users and notifies them when they have a new task on their worklist
Default Server Events An executable module that runs on the K2 Server and does not require human interaction, either code or windows foundation.
Email Event Sends an e-mail to specified recipients.
Exchange Event Create and disable mailboxes on the Microsoft Exchange Server, and create meeting requests and tasks in a process.
Forms Generation Client Event Generates a page that workflow participants can use to action a task.
InfoPath Client Event Provides integration of InfoPath forms as part of a process that uses InfoPath forms for client events (assigning tasks for users to action as part of the workflow).
IPC Event Start another process from within the current process.
Item Reference Event Generates dynamic item references against a SmartObject which can be used across different line of business applications.
Placeholder Event Adds a placeholder to your workflow design.
SmartObject Event Wizard Adds information contained within a SmartObject to a new or existing data or XML field for use in the workflow.
Upload InfoPath Form Event Wizard Upload InfoPath forms to a SharePoint forms library as part of the workflow.
Word Documents Event Create, update or convert Word documents.
