Servers
The Servers node lists the discovered K2 servers in the network, as well as external IP addresses connecting to the server (the IP address can be used to configure a firewall for security purposes). Use the Lookup* option to display external IP addresses to help you configure your firewall when connecting K2 to your internal services like Microsoft SQL server.You can change the default provider that uses the Lookup* option,
Discovery of K2 servers is performed using a discovery port (default port 49600, but this port number may differ depending on the configuration of your environment). If needed, you can disable the discovery port as described in the KB article KB001221: How to switch off the K2 server discovery feature.
Use the Refresh button to reload the list of servers.
Using the Lookup* Option
Follow the steps below to use the Lookup* option.
- Select a K2 Server and click Lookup*.
- A new tab opens in your browser displaying G Suite Toolbox Dig. This tool displays all external IP addresses connecting to the K2 Server. Use the IP addresses to configure your firewall when connecting K2 to your internal services such as Microsoft SQL server.
Change the Lookup* Provider
Follow the steps below to edit the Lookup* provider in K2 Management.
- Open K2 Management and navigate to the Environment Library node.
- Select the ExternalIPLookupServiceURL variable and click Edit.
- On the Edit Environment Field page, edit the required fields and click OK.
