View DocGen Package metadata

The DocGen Metadata pane displays key information about your package. If a package includes delivery options, data relationships, or templates, the pane also shows a metadata card for each configured item. This allows you to quickly view and understand how the package is set up. The metadata is displayed based on your package configuration, which includes the following:

• Generate documents from DocGen Packages
• Relationships from Starting Objects

Note: The metadata card for Relationships from Starting Objects displays only when you add a child or add a lookup to the Relationship from the Starting Object.

• Set up relationships from other objects in DocGen Packages
• Stand Alone Data Relationships
• SOQL Query Relationships
• Apex Data Relationships
• Templates
• Manage Delivery Options for DocGen Package

Depending on the standard object, you may see metadata information for Relationships from Other Objects. For each relationship that you create an alias for, you will see a drop-down arrow in the metadata card with the alias that you created.

View DocGen metadata

To view the metadata for a DocGen Package, follow the steps below in a DocGen Package:

1. Navigate to the App Launcher by selecting in the upper left corner and select Nintex DocGen.
2. Select the DocGen Packages tab.

3. Open a DocGen Package.

4. In the upper right-hand corner, click (down triangle) and select View Metadata. The DocGen Metadata pane appears and displays metadata for the DocGen Package.

Note: You must first configure a delivery option, relationship, or template for your DocGen Package to view the corresponding metadata.

Button and field descriptions for the DocGen metadata pane

Button or Field	Description
Record ID	This field displays the unique ID of the DocGen Package or Delivery Option. The record IDs can be used to configure your workflows in Salesforce Process Builder and Flow Builder.
Copy ID	When clicked, this button copies the record ID number of the DocGen Package or delivery option.
Created Date	Date and time when the DocGen Package, delivery option, or relationship was created.
Created By	The user who created the DocGen Package, delivery option, or relationship.
Last Modified Date	Date and time when the DocGen Package, delivery option, or relationship was last modified.
Last Modified By	The user who last modified the DocGen Package, delivery option, or relationship.
Pop Out	When clicked, the DocGen Metadata pane detaches from the window.
Pop In	This button displays in the DocGen Metadata pane after it has been popped out. Click Pop In to reattach to the window.
