Multiple Choice Jotblocks
Multiple Choice JotBlocks allow a signatory to select from a list of available options that you have made available. A Multiple Choice JotBlock is one of the Input Type selections available for a Text JotBlock when you have set the Input type to Signatory in template design mode.
A Multiple Choice JotBlock comes in three types:
-
a Drop-Down list allowing one selection
-
Radio Buttons allowing one selection
-
Checkboxes allowing multiple selections
Drop-Down List
Select whether to render to the document as Text (the T button) or a graphic (the check button)
If choosing text, enter:
-
Text: to be displayed in the list
-
Value: to be the value used either to render as Value or to be passed back in DocumentTRAK notifications containing JotBlock entered data
You may still select to render a specific graphic, however this will revert the entire list back to render as graphic
If choosing graphic, enter:
-
Text: to be displayed in the list
-
Value: to be the value which may be passed back in DocumentTRAK notifications containing JotBlock entered data
-
A graphic to be rendered, or none at all
Radio Buttons
You use a radio button to represent selecting one of multiple selection areas on the form or document. For example, if your document contains three check boxes and only one should ever be selected, then you could use a radio button multiple choice JotBlock.
When you add an option to the list presented to the signatory, you are presented with a dialog asking you to draw where the rendered result should be placed. Specify:
-
Text: to be displayed in the list
-
Value: to be the value which may be passed back in DocumentTRAK notifications containing JotBlock entered data
-
The value or graphic to be rendered, or none at all
Checkboxes
You use a checkbox to represent allowing many selection areas to be chosen on the form or document. For example, if your document contains three check boxes and combination of them may be selected, then you could use a checkbox multiple choice JotBlock.
As with the radio button control, when you add an option to the list to be presented to the signatory you are presented with a dialog asking you to draw where the rendered result should be placed. Specify:
-
Text: to be displayed in the list
-
Value: to be the value which may be passed back in DocumentTRAK notifications containing JotBlock entered data
-
The value or graphic to be rendered, or none at all
