Configure task outcomes

Task outcomes allow you to customize what happens in a workflow for any decision. Each outcome results in a branch in the task action.

When configuring task outcomes in task actions, you can add, rename, and delete task outcomes.

For example, in a document review process, you may want to rename the default task outcomes "Approved" and "Rejected" as "Yes" and "No." You might want to add the task outcome "Needs more information" and add a task outcome based on a previously defined content type. For each outcome, you can then define a unique branch of child actions on the designer canvas.

  1. Open the configuration of the Assign a task or Start a task process action.
  2. Configure the Task outcomes section.
