Create tasks

Tasks are a key component of workflows, allowing workflows to interact with users to provide an outcome for a business process. You can create tasks for business processes that require decisions, such as reviewing a leave request or documents and providing an outcome. For example, you can use a task action in a workflow to create an approval workflow that sends a task to a task assignee to provide a response.

Nintex for Office 365 provides the following actions that can be incorporated into a workflow to generate various types of workflow tasks:

  • Assign a task : Use this action to assign a task to a single user. For more information about the action and how to configure it, see Assign a task.
