Publishing forms
You can publish forms to make them available to users of the associated SharePoint lists and libraries.
The rendering of the published form varies by designer. Responsive forms are rendered dynamically while classic forms use layouts contained with the form. In classic forms, the layouts determine the look and feel of the delivered forms as well as optimal devices and apps for accessing the form. For example, you might publish a classic form containing the Desktop, iPad, and Nintex Mobile Phone layouts if you expect users to access the form from iPad devices and Nintex Mobile apps on phones.
When a form is published, it is automatically saved.
Note: Forms are automatically synchronized with property updates in the associated lists and libraries; republishing the form is not necessary. This automatic synchronization includes controls connected to columns and labels associated with bound controls.
To publish the current form
-
In the Designer tab of the Forms designer ribbon, click Publish.
Note: The Publish button is not available if unconfigured settings exist for required form settings or control settings.
If configured, the Confirm publishing dialog box appears. In the classic designer, the dialog box lists the layouts that will be published with the form, including any layouts intended for use with Nintex Mobile apps.
If your tenant uses a workflow-based subscription license, then the Confirm publishing dialog box also lists assigned use options.
-
If prompted by appearance of the Confirm publishing dialog box, review settings and then click Publish again.
During the publish process, a progress indicator displays. When the publish operation is complete, if configured, the message "Form published successfully" appears. The published form overwrites any previously published form.
- Click OK to dismiss the success message.

- In your Nintex Mobile app (custom or default), log into the SharePoint site containing the form and then open the form.
