Control configuration panel
The configuration panel is a panel that is displayed on the right side of the screen and is used to configure controls that you add to your form. The configuration fields available depend on the control and you can configure the control as required. There are many options available such as giving a name to each control and applying styles to change the appearance of the controls. Depending on the field, you can type a value, insert a variable, or select a value from a list.
Note: A configuration panel is also available to configure the Action panel and Styles that you want to apply to your form.
Open the control configuration panel
-
Open the Form designer.
-
On the designer canvas of the Form designer, click the control you want to configure.
The configuration panel does not have a save button and configuration updates are applied immediately. All updates are retained for the duration of the browser session. Updates are not retained if you exit the designer without saving the form or if the browser session ends before the form is saved.
Insert a variable
Fields that accept variables displays + on the top right of the field. This means you can select or create a variable in the Insert variables dialog.
-
Hover over a field that has the + displayed, until +Insert is displayed.
-
Click + Insert.
The Insert dialog is displayed with the formula builder. For information about the formula builder, see Formula builder.
