Yammer search topics

Search for Yammer topics on a user's Yammer network. Only the top 100 matches will be returned.

Action settings

Do one of the following to open the Action configuration window:

  • Double-click the action.
  • Click on the action and then click Configure.

Field Description
Authorizing user

Specify an email address to receive the authorization request for the action. External email addresses can be used.

  1. When the action runs, an email with the below content is sent to the email address selected for the Authorizing user.

    2. From: notification@nintexlive.com

    Subject: Contains phrases "Nintex Live" and "Request authorization".

    Contents: Contains links to authorize or deny the operation.

  2. When the link to provide authorization is clicked the user is prompted to do the following:
    1. Log in to the external service.
    2. Allow Nintex Live to access the external service.
    3. Option to stop receiving future authorization requests for the service.

If the authorizationis not provided for one of the following reasons, the workflow is suspended.

  • The authorizing user denies the authorization request by:
    • Clicking the deny link in the email received.
    • Not allowing Nintex live to access the external service.

    The workflow is suspended with the error "The service request has been denied".

  • Authorization is not provided within 7 days after the authorization request is sent.
    • The authorizing user never clicks the authorize link in the email message.
    • The authorizing user initiates the process by clicking the link but does not complete all steps. For example, the authorizing user logs in to the external service but does not complete the step to allow Nintex Live to access the external service.

    • The workflow is suspended with the error "The service request has expired".
Search query

Specify the search term. Topics containing this term are returned.
Topic ID

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the topic ID.
Topic name

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the topic name.
Topic URL

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the URL of the topics.
Result XML

Specify a workflow variable to store the properties of the searched topics in XML format.
Result count

Specify a numeric variable to store the number of results.
