Nintex RPA Chrome Extension is disabled in your browser

Note: This troubleshooting topic applies to both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers.

If you get an error message, "Nintex RPA Chrome Extension is disabled in your browser," or if the Nintex RPA Chrome Extension cannot be reached, complete the following tasks to troubleshoot the issue:

Enable group policy

Enable the group policy that will Allow user-level native messaging hosts (installed without admin permissions). For more information about this policy in Microsoft Edge, read about Microsoft Edge updates.

Verify that Nintex RPA Chrome Extension is installed

  1. In the top right corner of a Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser, click the Extensions icon.

  2. Select Manage extensions.

  3. Verify that Nintex RPA Chrome Extension for Google Chrome is installed and enabled.

Check for missing registry keys

In Task Manager, verify that NintexRPAChromiumChannel.exe is running. If NintexRPAChromiumChannel.exe is not running, a registry key may be missing.
