Close and re-open Bot when memory exceeds: Select the amount of memory, if, when exceeded, will cause the bot to close and re-open itself in order to reset memory usage. The default is 512 MB.
This feature is helpful if you run botflows from Nintex RPA Central and they are locking after long periods of use. When a project finishes and before it is closed, the amount of bot working memory is checked.
If the allotted memory exceeds the specified amount of memory, Nintex Bot will close the project that has just finished, close the bot, and open a new bot when the next botflow is run from Nintex RPA Central.
If the allotted memory does not exceed the specified amount of memory, Nintex Bot will close the project that has just finished, reset the bot to the welcome page, wait for the next command from Nintex RPA Central, and load the next project into the already-open UI when the next botflow is run from Nintex RPA Central.
- Click Privacy to set up or modify the privacy settings.
- Never save variable values: Click to enable clearing botflow variable values just prior to saving.
- Clear clipboard when botflow closes: Click to enable clearing the Windows clipboard when closing a botflow.
- Click Technology to set up or modify the Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge technology settings.
- Extension Request Timeout: Type or select the amount of time that Nintex Bot will wait for a response from the Nintex RPA Chrome Extension. Lengthening this timeout can help when targeting websites that slow down the JavaScript engine in the browser and are not optimized for automation.
- Click OK to save the changes.
The Settings window displays with the General settings selected by default.
