System Requirements

Mid-Large Production deployment requires dedicated servers for Process Discovery, DB, and Seq.

Before proceeding with the installation of servers and Discovery Robots, it is crucial to verify that your system meets the necessary requirements to ensure optimal performance and stability. This section provides detailed information about the essential hardware, software, and network prerequisites that are vital for the smooth operation of servers and Discovery Robots. By carefully reviewing and fulfilling these system requirements, you can establish an ideal environment for effortless deployment and efficient functioning of the servers and Discovery Robots.

How many cores?

To verify the number of processor cores installed on a machine:

Open the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc or right-clicking the taskbar and selecting Task Manager.
In the Task Manager window, click on the Performance tab.
Under the CPU section, you will find information about the CPU usage and performance graphs.

Look for the Logical Processors section. Here, you will see the number of cores available on your machine.

For purposes of Process Discovery, it's the Logical Processors field you're interested in – not the Cores field.

Discovery Server

Database	Before proceeding with the installation, you must have a preexisting dedicated Windows version database server installed and ready. The supported database management systems are: MariaDB 10.3.7 or higher MySQL 8.0.11 or higher MongoDB 4.4.3 or higher The database requires the same processor and RAM as the Process Discovery Server, with a minimum of 1TB of available hard disk space. You have the option to install the databases on the same server or a remote server. However, it is recommended to install them on a remote server for optimal performance.
Supported browser for accessing Process Library	Chrome v69 or higher, Edge v69
Network bandwidth	500MB/day per active Discovery Robot client ~15KB/s per active Discovery Robot client ~1.2MB average packet size (10 user actions per packet)

*When a single server with 16 cores is not possible, installation on 2 servers with 8 cores each is an option. Contact Nintex Support for details if this is option is required.

The client machine does not support AVX2 CPI.

Seq Server

DB Server

Be aware that the requirements for the DB server may vary depending on the number of bots being used. The size and performance needs of the database are impacted by the scale of your deployment, particularly the number of bots. Ensure that the DB server meets the recommended requirements to support the desired number of bots and ensure optimal performance of your system.
