Group Tags

Grouping nodes together in the process map can simplify your map or help you create sub-processes. This can be easily done from the Unified Graph in the Process Library.

To create group tags:

  1. Select the Process Library from the left navigation menu of the Nintex Process Discovery Console.

  2. Choose a process.

  3. Click on the toggle to select the Unified Graph.

  4. Select a node from the process map.

  5. In the Actions pane on the right side, under Tags, type G_ followed by a group name of your choice.

  6. Select more nodes that you want to add to this group and repeat the process from step 2.

  7. Click on Map Options from the Map filter.

  8. Click the toggle to select Groups mode.

When there is a group of nodes, all tagged nodes cluster together to form a single group node.

Depending on the amount of entries within the node, the arrow thickness and color of the node changes.

  • Smaller group node:

  • Larger group node:

In the Actions pane on the right side, the statistics from the actions from all of the tagged nodes are visible.

In the output files:

  • BPMN : The nodes are shown as a single group node.

  • CSV: There is a group column showing the group tag.
