Ignore Map Events
While recording processes, there may be things that end up in the discovery that you want to exclude from the process. There may be noise coming from applications or actions that aren’t part of the process. This can be due to working on multiple processes simultaneously or multitasking. You can now easily ignore actions from the Unified Graph by first cleaning up the process map and its variations, and then exporting it to a CSV or BPMN file when the review process is finalized.
To ignore specific actions from your process:
-
Select the Process Library from the left navigation menu of the Nintex Process Discovery Console.
-
Choose the process from the list of available processes.
-
In the Map view, click the toggle to select the Unified Graph.
-
Select the Map Options.
-
Click the toggle to select Ignored mode.
-
Select a node (action) from the map that you wish to exclude.
-
A pane on the right opens, click the Ignore Event toggle.
Each node needs to be selected and deselected individually. -
Continue this process of ignoring nodes. When satisfied, click Update Graph.
The map refreshes and the ignored nodes disappear.
If you would like to still see the ignored nodes, deselect the Ignored mode toggle in the Map Options and the map will refresh with all ignored nodes greyed-out, but still visible.
Downloading to an output file
You can export the process map to a CSV or BPMN file.
If the process contains ignored nodes, you can export the process map with greyed-out nodes, or nodes that are excluded entirely.
What you see on the screen directly reflects what is on the output file. This can be changed by selecting and deselecting the Ignored mode in the Map Options.
