Scheduled start

Note: Applies to site workflows only.

Use the Schedule option to schedule a site workflow to run automatically at a date and time specified.

This capability is useful for routine operations such as reporting, scheduling regular document reviews, and performing billing cycles. Each future run is a “schedule.” After the first schedule is saved, you can add up to five schedules per workflow.

Note: To enable scheduled workflows, ensure that the feature Workflows can use app permissions is activated for the SharePoint site. For more information and instructions, see Allow a workflow to use add-in permissions on a SharePoint site.
