SharePoint list forms with Nintex Workflow

SharePoint list forms users can use the Nintex Workflow to access the forms designer in SharePoint Online.

You can install the Nintex Workflow app from the SharePoint store. For more information about installing the app, see the Install the Nintex Workflow help topic.

After the Nintex Workflow app is installed, it's available as Nintex in the Site contents page and the top ribbon of your SharePoint lists and libraries. You can use this app to access an integrated Nintex Workflow tenant or continue to the SharePoint Online list form designer.

  • Create an integration in a Nintex Workflow tenant to directly access Nintex Workflow. For more information, see the SharePoint Integration topic in the Nintex Workflow help documentation.

  • If an integration is created in Nintex Workflow the Create with Nintex Workflow option is displayed to open the integrated Nintex Workflow tenant.

Note: If you have created an integration but don't see the Create with Nintex Workflow button, see the Why can't I see the Create with Nintex Workflow button? section in the SharePoint list form FAQ.

  • To open the SharePoint list form designer, click Customize SharePoint list form.

    • If you have multiple content types in the SharePoint list, the Select form dialog is displayed to create a new form for that content type. Click Edit form to edit a form or click Create form to create a new form.

Important: When you first open the app, you'll need to grant consent so that users don't have to sign in each time. This is a one-time requirement for the tenant and must be done by an Administrator with the correct permissions required to grant consent.
