Non- connected controls | Use Control Name when saving form item |
Turn on this toggle to store control data using the control name instead of the GUID. By default, non-connected controls or controls that aren't directly linked to a SharePoint column, are stored in form data using their unique control GUID. To simplify the management of non-connected controls through modifying the form data directly, you can choose to store their data using the control's name instead of the GUID by turning this setting on. Important: If a control name is changed after list items have already been created using that name, those previous items will no longer display the control's value unless you manually update the control's name in the form data. |
