Action panel

Use the Action panel form control to configure the text of the form submit button, the protection of form submissions with Google reCAPTCHA, and the web page that appears after users submit the form.

Important:  The Action panel is mandatory for forms and cannot be removed.

Configure the Action panel control

  1. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the designer canvas.

    The form configuration panel is displayed.

  2. Complete the following configuration fields.

Setting Description
Connected to The SharePoint list column the form will save the Connected to value to when the form participant submits or saves a form. See the Connected to value settings in the Submit and Save and continue sections of the configuration panel.
Submit button text

Text label of the Submit button displayed on the published form.

Connected to value The value the form saves to the specified Connected to SharePoint list column when the form participant submits the form.

After submitting

Determines response on successful submission of the form. Choose one of the following options.

  • Default success page
  • Redirect to URL

Redirect URL

(Displayed only when Redirect to URL is selected.) Address of the web page to display on successful submission of the form. You can enter the URL of the web page.

Cancel button text Text label of the cancel button displayed on the published form.
Save and continue

Option to enable and disable the ability for participants to save an edited form and continue to edit the saved form. Save and continue is disabled by default.

When a form participant saves a form, any SharePoint form control data will be saved to the related SharePoint lists. Form participants must enter values for SharePoint form controls before saving the form, or the form validation will prompt the form participant to enter values for the SharePoint form control fields.

Connected to value

The value the form saves to the specified Connected to SharePoint list column when the form participant saves the form.

Tip: Use this SharePoint list column value in conjunction with workflow conditional start to ensure workflows do not start when the form is saved and not submitted.

Save and continue button text

(Displays when you switched Save and continue toggle to On)

Text label of the Save and continue button displayed on the published form.

Next button text

The text for the button which navigates users to the following page in the form.

Previous button text

The text for the button which navigates users to the previous page in the form.
