Office 365 remove user from security group

Note: 

Removes an Office 365 user from a security group.

Action settings

Do one of the following to open the Action configuration window:

  • Double-click the action.
  • Click on the action and then click Configure.

Field Description
Username and domain

Username and domain of the user to remove from the security group.

Note: Email address aliases are not supported.

Security group

Name of the security group from which to remove the user.

Connection
  • Permissions required: to remove users from the specified security group.
  • Connection type required: SharePoint Online: User management. For more information about Connection types, see Connection types and Connector actions.
Administrator username / Password

(Displayed for legacy actions not yet updated.) Unmanaged credentials.

  • Permissions required: to remove users from the specified security group.

Note: As a best practice, manage credentials by updating actions to use connections.

Removal successful

Boolean variable to store operation result. Returns "Yes" if the user was removed from the security group.
