Extract Substring from Start of String

Copies a specified number of characters beginning at the start of a string and stores the output in a variable.

Action settings

Do one of the following to open the Action configuration window:

• Double-click the action.
• Click on the action and then click Configure.

Field	Description
Number of Characters	The number of characters to copy into the substring.
String	Extract the substring from this source string.
Output	The workflow variable to store the output from this action.
