Files

Note: Availability of this feature depends on your license. For more information about your license, reach out to your Nintex Account Manager.

Manage resources used by Nintex Apps, including static files and certificates. Static files are supporting assets used by your apps, while certificates help establish secure communication between your apps and external systems.

Static files

Static files are resource files, such as images, JavaScript files, CSS libraries, fonts, and other supporting assets, that are used by your Nintex Apps.

Access the Static files page

  • Go to Apps > Files > Static files.

Add a static file

  1. On the Static files page, click Add file.

  2. In the file selection dialog, select the file you want to add.

  3. Click Open.

Manage static files

On the Static files page, you can:

  • Use the search field.

  1. Use one of the following options:

    • Click the file.

    • Click next to the file you want to edit and select Configure.

  2. View and configure the following:

    • Name: Displays the name of the file.

    • Description: Type a description for the file.

    • Visibility: Select one of the following:

      • Public: Allows anyone with the file URL to access the file.

      • Private: Restricts access to authenticated users only.

  3. Click Save.

  1. Click next to the file you want to preview.

  2. Select Preview.

    The files opens in the browser.

  1. Click next to the file you want to download.

  2. Select Download.

  3. In the save file dialog, select the location where you want to save the file, and click Save.

  1. Click next to the file you want to delete.

  2. Select Delete.

  3. To confirm deletion, select Yes, delete this file.

Certificates

Certificates are used by Nintex Apps and Connections to establish secure communication with external systems.

Access the Certificates page

  • Go to Apps > Files > Certificates.

Create a certificate

  1. On the Certificates page, click Create certificate.

  2. Type the Certificate Name.

  3. Select the Key Size. The following options are available:

    • 2048: Creates a certificate with a 2048-bit cryptographic key.

    • 4096: Creates a certificate with a 4096-bit cryptographic key.

  4. Select the Type. The following options are available:

    • Self Signed: Creates a certificate that is signed by the certificate itself rather than by a certificate authority.

    • CA Signed: Creates a certificate that is signed and verified by a certificate authority.

  5. Click Create.

Manage certificates

On the Certificates page, you can:

  • Use the search field.

Downloads the default certificate provided by Nintex Apps. Use this certificate when a default certificate is required for your apps or Connections.

  1. Click .

  2. Click Download default certificate.

  3. In the save file dialog, select the location where you want to save the file, and click Save.

  1. Use one of the following options:

    • Click the certificate.

    • Click next to the certificate you want to edit and select Configure.

  2. View and manage the following options and properties:

    • : Click to access the following options:

      • Download certificates: Downloads the certificate.

      • Download RSA Public key: Downloads the RSA public key associated with the certificate.

    • Certificate name: Displays the name of the certificate.

    • Active: Indicates whether the certificate is currently enabled and available for use. To disable the certificate, clear the check box.

    • Type: Displays the certificate type.

    • Key size: Displays the cryptographic key length of the certificate.

    • Expiration: Displays the date and time when the certificate expires.

    • History: Displays who created and last modified the certificate, and when those actions occurred.

    • Summary: Displays key certificate details, including email address, certificate identifiers, organizational details, location information, and the certificate expiration date and time.

  3. Click Save.

  1. Click next to the certificate you want to delete.

  2. Click Delete.

  3. To confirm deletion, select Yes, delete this certificate.
