Search form controls

Use the search options in the Form designer to do a quick search for controls used in a form, without having to navigate through lengthy single or multiple-page forms to find them.

Find controls using Controls in use

You can use Controls in use to view all controls used in a form and find a specific control.

  1. On the Form designer, click Controls in use.

    2. The Controls in use panel is displayed. The panel displays All and Unconfigured controls used in the form.

  2. Click a control or enter one of the following into the Control name or type search box to highlight where the control is located in the form:

    • Control title (label)

    • Control name (variable name)

    • Control type (including type keywords)

Find controls using the search box

You can also search directly for a control using the Control name or type search box.

  1. On the Form designer, enter one of the following into the Control name or type search box:

    • Control title (label)

    • Control name (variable name)

    • Control type (including type keywords)

    The number of times the control is used in the form is displayed next to the search box.

  2. Press Enter or use the arrows to navigate and highlight where the control is located in the form.
