Nintex eSign
Nintex eSign is an electronic signature software that can be deployed as a Software as a Service (SaaS) application. Documents are signed using a device that has an Internet connection. Nintex eSign's electronic signature technology uses patent-pending biometric, handwritten, mouse-based signatures. Nintex eSign's tools enable users to integrate with existing environments. In the context of Nintex Automation Cloud, Nintex eSign is a connector A software component that allows seamless integration with third-party services, business applications, and content stores. Examples include Salesforce, Box, and Microsoft SharePoint. Connectors are used to create connections required for workflow actions and start events. used to create connections for Nintex eSign actions. Use Nintex eSign actions in a workflow to send documents for signing, and to retrieve the signed documents.

Create a Nintex eSign connection
Note: Your browser-stored credentials are accessed to create connections. Either clear credentials from browser memory or make sure the stored credentials are for the intended environment.
Create a connection from the connections page or from the action configuration panel when configuring the action. For information about creating connections and assigning permissions, see Manage connections.

API key |
Your Nintex eSign API key. You must enter the word Bearer and a space before your key, for example: "Bearer dHV6Ty..." |
API username | The username created in Nintex eSign when creating the API key. |
Context username | The username of the person in Nintex eSign who will be part of the audit trail of the documents and signatures. This is the account that will send the documents to the signers. |
Nintex eSign account requirements
Prior to creating a Nintex eSign connection, you need a Nintex eSign API key. In your My Profile page in Nintex eSign, click Users > API Users to create a new API user. When you create the user, save their API Key and API Username to use later to create the connection. You can limit the API key to a specific user scope and set an expiry date.
