Add, modify, and delete User Defined Action (UDA) parameters
This topic describes how to add, modify, and delete User Defined Action (UDA) parameters.
Use User Defined Action (UDA) parameters to obtain and supply information when using UDAs within workflows. UDA parameters are displayed when workflow designers add the UDA to a workflow and open the UDA for configuration.
To add a User Defined Action (UDA) parameter

Open the User Defined Action (UDA) in the Nintex Workflow designer
For instructions, see Create, modify, and promote UDAs.

Under User Defined Action (UDA) Settings in the Nintex Workflow designer, click
and then click Parameters.
Alternatively, you can click User Defined Action (UDA) Settings to display the User Defined Action Settings dialog box and then click Parameters.
The User Defined Action Parameters dialog box lists User Defined Action (UDA) parameters defined for the current UDA.

Click New to display the Create Workflow Parameter dialog box.
For more information on this dialog box, see Create Workflow Parameter and Modify Workflow Parameter dialog boxes.

Fill in the fields as needed and then click OK to save changes and close the Create Workflow Parameter dialog box.
To modify a User Defined Action (UDA) parameter
Note: Parameter data types cannot be modified.

Open the User Defined Action (UDA) in the Nintex Workflow designer

Under User Defined Action (UDA) Settings in the Nintex Workflow designer, click
and then click Parameters.
Alternatively, you can click User Defined Action (UDA) Settings to display the User Defined Action Settings dialog box and then click Parameters.
The User Defined Action Parameters dialog box lists User Defined Action (UDA) parameters defined for the current UDA.

Select the parameter of interest and then click Modify to display the Modify Workflow Parameter dialog box.
For more information on this dialog box, see Create Workflow Parameter and Modify Workflow Parameter dialog boxes.
- Update fields as needed and then click OK to save changes and close the Modify Workflow Parameter dialog box.
To delete a User Defined Action (UDA) parameter

Open the User Defined Action (UDA) in the Nintex Workflow designer

Under User Defined Action (UDA) Settings in the Nintex Workflow designer, click
and then click Parameters.
Alternatively, you can click User Defined Action (UDA) Settings to display the User Defined Action Settings dialog box and then click Parameters.
The User Defined Action Parameters dialog box lists User Defined Action (UDA) parameters defined for the current UDA.
- Select the parameter of interest and then click Delete.
