Office 365 user access management

Blocks or deletes a user from an Office 365 domain.

Action settings

Following are the fields and options visible in the configuration settings dialog box for this action.

Section Field Description

 Username and domain

Specify the username and domain of the user to update.

 

 Update access

Specify whether to block the user from signing in or delete the user. Select one of the following items.

  • Block: User retains any assigned licenses.
  • Delete: User relinquishes licenses.

Credentials

Administrator username

Specify the username and domain for an Office 365 administrator. Only users with administrator privileges are able to block or delete users.

 

 Password

Specify the password for the Office 365 administrator.

 Output

Store output for this action using the following selections.

  • Access update successful: Specify a Yes/No variable to store whether or not the user’s access was updated. Returns "Yes" if the user was blocked or deleted.

Depending on action requirements, you may be able to add and remove output variables.

To add an output variable

  1. Select an option from the Select more drop-down list.
  2. Click Add to display a drop-down list for the selected option.
  3. Select a previously defined workflow variable from the drop-down list.

To remove an output variable

  • Click Delete ().

    Note: Some output variables cannot be deleted. For example, the output variable URL for the action Bing news search cannot be deleted.
