Action Settings page

This topic describes selections on the Actions Settings page accessed from either Central Administration (farm level) or Site Settings (site or site collection level).

Selection Description

Enforce allowed actions at run time

(Displayed for farm level only.) Controls workflow function when disabled actions are encountered. Does not apply to actions native to SharePoint Server. This selection includes the following options.

  • Yes: Terminates workflows and logs errors when a disabled action is encountered.

  • No: Allows workflows to run when a disabled action is encountered.

Stop inheriting actions

(Displayed for site or site collection level only.) Stops inheriting action settings from the farm or site collection. Available when settings are currently inherited.

Inherit workflow action list

(Displayed for site or site collection level only.) Inherits action settings from the farm or site collection. Available when settings are not currently inherited.

Edit permissions

Displays the Set action permissions dialog box for configuring permissions for the selected action. Available when an action is selected and settings are not currently inherited.
Core actions Lists core actions.
Connectors Lists connector actions.
(check box) Enables or disables the selected actions. By default, all users can access enabled actions.
Group Toolbox group in which the action appears when enabled and available for the current user.
