Manage workflow actions (farm level)

This topic describes how to manage action settings at the farm level.

As an administrator, you can block or allow disabled actions at run time, enable and disable actions, and edit permissions for actions.

When disabled actions are blocked at run time, workflows encountering disabled actions are terminated and errors are logged.

Only enabled actions are visible in the Actions toolbox, and only when the current user has permissions for that action. By default, enabled actions are available to all workflow designers.

For information on configuring action settings for sites and site collections, see Manage workflow actions (sites and site collections).
