Applies to Nintex Workflow and Forms
This topic describes how to set up configuration databases for Nintex Workflow and Nintex Forms.
Nintex Workflow uses a configuration database as does Nintex Forms. Each configuration database must be set up before activating the product features for the site collection.
When each configuration database is specified, its connection string is configured. Properties of the connection string include the SQL Server database server, the database name, and the authentication settings.
Note: Configure licensing before configuring database settings. For more information, see Manage licensing.
To add or edit a configuration database
On the Database management page, under Configuration database, click Add configuration database (or click the name of the existing configuration database).
The Add configuration database or Manage configuration database page opens. See Add and manage configuration database pages.
In the database name and authentication section, choose one of the following options:
Create a database
Specify the name of the SQL Server database server, the name of the database, and select the authentication settings that you want.
Connect to an existing database
Specify the name of the SQL Server database server where the database is located, the name of the existing database, and select the authentication settings that you want.
Click OK.
The database details appear in the Configuration database section on the Database Management page.
