To configure a Nintex for SharePoint form to collect metadata

  1. Select a Nintex Mobile layout.

For information on adding layouts, see Design a form for a mobile device.

Note: Layout features are available in the Classic Forms Designer only. Layouts are not used in the Responsive Forms Designer.

  2. Add a control to the selected Nintex Mobile layout that is supported for the metadata you want to collect.

For example, add the control Single Line Textbox control.

  3. For Name (under General), enter the name corresponding to the type of metadata that you want to collect.

For example, to collect the time of form submission, enter the following name: nm-data-submitted-date.

  4. To hide the control at runtime, select No for Visible (under Appearance).

The form is now configured to collect form metadata. Simply publish the form to begin collecting metadata on submissions through Nintex Mobile.
